Wrath of the Lich King...

Aurora is looking towards the future, so if you want to be part of Aurora, now is your chance! Now that Kil'jaeden is dead, Aurora is looking to recruit any class.
The following should describe you:
  • The desire and ability to make raids. Aurora is NOT a casual guild. You must have near 100% raiding attendance.
  • Enjoyment of the game and your class in general. If we need you for a specific role we expect you to spec for it.
  • You must have plans on raiding with your class during Wrath of the Lich King, for months to come.
  • Must be able to handle harsh criticism and/or some verbal abuse (no thin skins).
  • Ability and desire to farm your own consumables including flasks.
  • Raid experience, if you haven't been in Sunwell you should look somewhere else. Lots of it.
  • Gear reflecting your experience. If you can't top our meters, we don't want you.
  • The ability and strong desire to learn.


If you plan on rolling Deathknight as your main, or switching to another class in the future, do not apply.

I think a lot of us would agree that our kill came a lot later than we had hoped for, but we're thankful anyway for everyone that made the kill possible. I want to specifically thank everyone who kept their patience, understanding and perseverance through the high and low points of the past few months.




What a day to do it on, too: The one year anniversary of our first Illidan kill.

I'm probably echoing what's already been said countless times, but... M'uru is the most sublime and perfectly tuned raid encounter ever designed. No boss brings greater satisfaction in defeating than this one.

I'm not sure how many dozens of guilds cleared the first encounter on the first day of Patch 2.4, but here's just one.

Yeah the tiny Dreadlord corpse behind us is the actual boss. Feels good to finally be out of Black Temple, this is the first new boss Aurora's killed since Illidan (not counting PTR) for a total of 261 days without new content.
